6. This 3 cd collection is fabulous so pleasant to listen to and the songs are wonderful from old to new. I especially love the old stars like Eddy Arnold Elvis Hank Snow Burl Ives and the outstanding Tennessee Ernie Ford. You don't know what you're missing until you buy this album, listening to it now as I write this/5(21).

I’ve always thought of the Beatles beginning the experiment with various sounds on records, pushing the limits of each instrument, but clearly the big bands were already doing that back in the 40’s. These songs have so much energy: a lot of horns of course, great bass, some drums and piano. Several are /5().
